Equitable Enrichment: A Roundtable Discussion with SEF and SSD

Reminder: tomorrow, April 23, 2024, join the Sunnyvale Education Foundation and the Sunnyvale School District for a roundtable discussion on equitable enrichment. Make sure your SSD PTx groups send at least one representative. Not only will they get inspired by enrichment examples and learn essential “how-tos” from SSD staff, but they be entered into a drawing to win a grant for their PTx to use toward enrichment at their school site! Snacks will be provided.

This roundtable is for anyone involved in planning enrichment in SSD during or after school (assemblies, after school programs, etc), including PTx officers-elect.

Topics of discussion will include:

  • Prop 28 and its impact on enrichment
  • Volunteer and vendor clearance procedures
  • Facilities reservation: how it works and when to pay
  • Sharing from PTAs in our district on different enrichment models and equity efforts

Current SSD families contact us for a discount code to receive 50% off!

SEF on your site

It’s amazing what we can do when we work together for our children: $150k+ for art, music, science camp, field trips, gardens, JEDI books, intervention and more over the 22-23 school year! This month on our facebook page we’ve been sharing the impact at each of the ten school sites we support. Highlights are also shared here on our Schools page

We hope that, if the impact SEF is making for our students speaks to you, you’ll support our work for the 23-24 school year, whether it’s part of #GivingTuesday or your end of year donations. Sunnyvale Ed Foundation is on your site and making a difference.  #sunnyvaleedfoundationonyoursite.
